    Kind of a one-off, maybe. I like it, too, but even though it has a vaguely tribal look to it, I think it's just a very artistic carving -- the attenuated figure (like Modigliani), and the fine expression on her face.

    thanks kworld, that was the artist i was trying to think of that the face sort of reminded me of

    so might be influenced by ;)

    It looks to me like it once said something on the bottom; I played with contrast a bit:
