I bought this pretty engine turned compact. It was sold as Danish, but maybe something else? Any ideas? Thank you for looking. :shame:

Eek it’s a tough one. Could it possibly be an A? H looks most probable.

Can't be Danish - no tower mark and assayer stamp.

Danish marks can be pretty inconsistent, there's a lot of Danish silver without assay marks, but can't recall ever seeing any in .835 fineness...

I was thinking maybe German? This is about as best as I can get the photo. Thank you for looking anyway. :)

I looked all over the other mirrored side and no marks on that I can find.

That's what I thought. There are many German manufacturers, and many can't be indentified through the usual resources.:( Whoever made it, did a very good job.:)

I'd think German too - and though an old boyfriend once described me as, "right on the edge of being OCD" (a definite family trait), I'll only expend limited energy to pinning down an elusive German maker...

Very wise. There were just too many of them. Always nice quality though.

    Thanks, AJ and Cheryl.
I really got because I thought it was pretty and was a very good price. If I can ever find it, I’ll update, but I guess it’s unlikely.
