    Hello

Please help ID the maker of this silver & guilloche enamel brooch. Marked 935S and initials HJ.

I have looked in all the usual places but can't find a maker.

    6cm x 4cm, 19.8 grams

The 925S makes me think Scandinavian, there are a few HJs on this page, can you see it better to tell if anyone matches?

If not, go up the "Wold Hallmarks" and pull down to Norwegian or Finnish and also check them. I tried Swedish but didn't see anything there.

Hans Jensen seems most likely, thank you.

I found a couple of very similar designs with a simple 800 or 900 mark. They sold well above what I paid so I'm already happy.

Unlikely to be by the Danish firm Hans Jensen, not the type of piece they produced, nor is the mark anything I've seen on a Hans Jensen piece, and not the correct fineness for Danish or any other Scandinavian silver (though there are uncommon anomalies). The style is very similar to Norwegian enamel brooches, though the guilloché pattern isn't typical of Norwegian, but have certainly seen Norwegian brooches with florals. Whether the quality mark is '835S' or '935S' (and while '900' fineness is found on Norwegian silver, '800' would be unlikely, since it would be below their standard), believe this piece is more likely early 20th century German, done in the Norwegian style, probably by one of the numerous Pforzheim jewelry manufacturers. Regardless, it's a pretty piece and should sell well...
