Just found this 7 1/2" Vase at the local thrift-$1.99.Now I've seen lots of hippie-blown glass in the last 50 years, but for the price-no contest.
It has that weird iridescence that you don't see unless you tilt it-layered I guess.
For all I know the artist who crafted this could live a block away ! Thanks so much for feedback. My significant other is dreaming of the new flowers to be grown and placed in it-She says it's a Wisteria.
PS-Just found a Richard 'Satava Art Glass' in Chico,CA,where my Sis went to college.

I think this is dated 1988, which gibes with the design. (i.e. wild) I think for a few bucks you scored.

The funny thing is-it still had it's old Goodwill tag on one side,$2.99.I think my fave Thrift wanted to stick it to 'em and plastered on $1.99 !
My Lady, avid flower gardener said-'You aren't selling that-it stays !' That's the favorite kind of 'goodie' I bring home.

Now that's a good deal. Two bucks, stuck it to the Ill Will AND the wife wants to keep it.

If you put flowers in it, PLEASE put a plastic bag in first!

Yes, you will want to keep that vase pristine. I hope you saw this. One year ago. $220 plus a 20% buyer's fee.

That's it Laura-'Harvest Moon' ! Anything glass over fifty bucks makes me nervous. My Pard-who it belongs to now insists if it's beautiful show and use it,don't abuse it,but to be overly cautious kills it.
We're storing it safely when not in use. We've lived thru enough California earthquakes, leaping cats and twirling kids to be careful.

Yours is a few inches smaller than the one in the auction, but yours was made 10 years earlier. Enjoy! It is so beautiful.

bosko, if the artist is still working in CA, maybe you can find out if your vase has a name by sending him a photo. But I wouldn't tell him what you paid, he might be insulted. That vase is gorgeous, luscious and maybe more similar words! I love that the inside is red.
