A Bronze that Never Forgets

    Purchased this bronze elephant last weekend. It's about 19" tall and 14" wide U.S., and weighs about 10-15 pounds. The tusks are polished bronze, while the body is patinated bronze. The trunk is up, which is generally accepted as good luck, and the left foot is forward, which is rare indeed. According to AI, however, the left foot forward doesn't mean anything in particular, except a more "natural stance." OK.
    I found one for sale at a shop in Florida, run by expatriates from Paris. Looks to be in the $1K range, which is great! Lovin' this big pachyderm!
