found a few interesting vintage clothing pieces recently

the jacket ive found out is called a prince charley, something connected to king charles
    by the buttons

kilt jacket it seems, by quite a decent maker, unsure of age

the smoking jacket/dressing gown looks straight out the 60s. Psychedelic look about it

the gown is an odd one, think it has something to do with lawyers etc, really long arms
not sure the age of it either

    any thoughts or info appreciated

Never heard of a Prince Charley. Learn something new every day. Here's another from Moss Bros. You should be able to date yours by the label.

The dressing gown does look 1960s/1970s. Can you read the label?

The gown is very Harry Potter. You can probably identify its use via the brand's web site. That's not the current logo. Here's the logo used during the reign of George V (1910-1936) and Queen Elizabeth succeeded to the throne in 1952 so most likely dates to 1936-1952.

Love the pattern design on the smoking jacket. I'd bet you'd look smashing in it, Ches!

If you objective is resale, best sold as a women's evening warp.

I'd wear that dressing robe - throw it over a black dress and out the door it goes. That Prince Charlie was designed, I'll bet, to be worn with a kilt. I've seen it before but never knew the name.

This is what I'm talkin' bout-a Ralph Kramden jacket.

Id have worn the hell out of that Prince Charley in the 80s ! I love the smoking jacket too. Sadly any time I see things like that in a thrift or estate sale they are never my size.My 1980s size maybe, but not this current (and apparently forever) size !

That style was made famous by General Dwight D, Eisenhower during WWII. It's therefor called an Ike jacket.

I have had one like it before, does have a military look about it but more of a box cut shape

Surprised how high the hem is on them as well

Definitely only goes with high waisted trousers

Men's pants were worn at the natural waistline back in that day.
