We started out at a church thrift sale, and I bought these two prints. Excuse my awful photography. This is Ruth and Naomi, and according to a seller on ebay, they're textured. They really do stand out. They're asking $285, I paid $3. This ship isn't textured. But, in person it looks textured. I have to remove it from the frame and really check it out. It almost shimmers to me. It was $2. This one is sad. This has been in a thrift store for almost a year. Every time we go, it's just moved from one place to another. Because it's an actual drawing, they were asking a price that's unreasonable unless you personally knew the woman. Today it was no longer in the main store. It was in the bargain basement for 50 cents. She'll go in a portfolio. She's a pretty woman. I LOVE Michael Parkes art. It's way out of my price range. Even his posters are expensive. We were going to our last thrift store, and sitting on the floor for everyone to see was this print of Desert Lotus. This sucker is big, matted it's 41.5" x 26". At first I thought it was a limited edition print. I didn't think he did open editions. This is more than likely an open edition. The cashier was sad to see it go. It had been there 3 days (how blind are people), and she was considering buying it. When you pay $12 for something like this framed, you've had a good day. The glass for this would be more than that.
