    Hi, Without being sexist, I would magaine that this was a ladies note pad.
    Do you think it is leather or crocadile skin and what era do you think?
    Very Petite, with a length of 8.5cm

    I'm with Debora that this is a man's accessory. I have something similar, with a blotter surface, pockets for stamps, that thing that looks like a burnishing tool, missing a writing instrument, maybe propelling pencil, & more clearly for a woman. It is larger, has a handle, looks like a miniature briefcase.

    We don't have cheques anymore here in the Netherlands. I think I wrote my last one in the 1990s.
