I think the fact that they all wear the same pink ballet shoes (as opposed to white or cream) points to a specific dance academy, rather than a professional company. The dance academy could be attached to a company of course.
At my ballet school, which was a pre-school for the British Royal Academy of Dance, we all had to wear a set colour for every article of clothing, even for the headband. Our shoes were sent over from the RAD supplier in Britain.

The style is not Art Nouveau, it is more consistent with the date bracket @April07 mentioned. It is lovely.

On the painting: look up “Soviet Impressionism” - it is a particular style of painting in 60-70es. Frequently “no faces” in them! :). Also “russian Impressionism” - different timing - early 20th century, different details. Both of your paintings are “academically” well done, a nice purchase.
also, for bigger paintings artists initially would do a smaller one, frequently without faces, for composition and color purposes, sometimes on paper, board, or old canvas. And it would not be signed. A “study” for the larger painting. Yours might be that as well.
Jug is beautiful, even if cracked!
