    Hi all!
I got this in a lot, and thinking it was a marriage junk piece, was about to give it to a little girl...:nailbiting:
It appears they are collectable, and Le Rage (what a bizarre name!:bucktooth:) is a good brand!

    Diameter 4cm, all original parts!

Any compacts collector around to shed some light on this, I couldn't find same in my searches:banghead: Resized_Screenshot_20180104-122106001.jpeg Resized_20180104_122350001.jpeg Resized_20180104_122232.jpeg

Never seen one of those things before.

There are some on Pintrest but if you are not a member its difficult to navigate and they are only pictures.

I suppose Le Rage is meant to come across as "all the rage", "the business" or "popular"

The company were certainly trading in 1951 as they made compacts depicting the Festival of Britain.

I buy compacts a lot here, and I've never seen that one. Super thing.

Ha, so, it seems to be a rarity ;)
The seller I got it from even not said it was a compact... I got too a very nice memorial pendant, gold rose cut diamonds and hessonite garnet cabs... In a lot of costume jewelry....

Wow, gorgeous lot of jewels. Love, love, love the garnet cross - so unique (or at least unique to me).

Lovely lot! Nice find on that compact. I have never seen similar either and clearly has some resale $$. Fun to see these! :)

    Thanks for the wow, tie.dye:happy:
The cross was my goal for winning the bid, it has a tiny compartment at back with woven hair. The gold was oxydized from age and contact with silver in a confined place, that's why it was confused with costume:angelic:

I looked in my book on compacts & checked the IPBA website's virtual museum, but did not see anything like this piece.

Last year the IPBA added compact collectors to our group & there is one lady who is sort of in charge of the compact division. If you would like I could see if I can find any contact information on her. She has a huge collection of all sorts of compacts.

BTW - I would have been all over that lot of jewelry. You got some stunning pieces that is for sure.

Wonderful. There are collectors of bible jewellery, and jet is an added bonus of course.
