Not sure if this is even the correct forum to put this in, but I was hoping someone might be able to help me. I have done a lot of research on this already an now my brain is all jumbled from it. From what research I have done this shell is very rare it measures like 8.5 in. across but I have never seen one with this many pearls in it. They are even up under the rim What are your guys thoughts please.

Because with these types of shells it's very rare to find one with blister pearls. An if you do find them in most cases it's only 1 an sometimes 2 or 3. An this one has a bunch. It's a large California Red. I was only able to find one currently for sale. Usually when people do sell them they are broken shells.

But this is the one I found.

Now my shell is just over 8 1/2 in but the pearls inside are amazing.

I guess that was kind of what I meant to ask in the original post. Is how should I go about selling it.

That was one aggravated mollusc. I once learned in a lecture about pearls is that they are not generally formed in reaction to a grain of sand; most encapsulate some kind of parasite.
