Featured ADDENDUM TO CHINA DOLL— SHE’S “NEKKED”!!

Using old kid gloves has long been a practice used in replacing leather doll limbs. I too think the leather is a newer replacement than the body. However, it sounds like NOTHING has been changed since 1949.....70 years ago.

It doesn't really matter at this point. It is believed that only the head could be the real deal.

I think who ever did the replacements did a a very nice job......done at home by someone who cared enough about the doll and did their best to assimilate what was.

If the doll wasn't well loved, then nothing would have been done.

And, why go through all that trouble unless the head was already old.

Only the doll knows for sure!!
