Featured Age and purpose (Pince-Nez?) leather double ended purse

    This was labelled as a Pince Nez case but I’m not so sure unless Pince Nez come apart into two pieces but I still can’t see it fitting.
    It’s 3.5” tall and 2.75” wide.
    Clasps on both sides but opposite ends. Fairly sure it’s pig skin and lined with green leather.
    Both purses are expanding.
    The clasps look a bit Victorian but that’s such a huge span of time I’d love some of your thoughts.

    Try folding pince nez. You can get them which end up as lens over lens.

    The way some folded, each lens would fit in one pocket if that makes sense. Victorian into Edwardian.
