I am new to the world of Coca-Cola refurbishing, but have a good bit of experience in refurbishing other items. From what I can tell, based on the measurements (34"H x 31"W x 25"D) and the date stamp inside the cooler, I have a May, 1942 Cavalier Standard Ice Cooler. I plan to refurbish this cooler, but was hoping this group could provide a little guidance on where to find an accurate parts list, as well as the most reliable sources for the parts too. Though there is quite a bit of obvious bodywork needed, I believe the only parts I need are the Cap Catcher and the Strip around the top that the lid sits on. Questions I have are: (1) What are the screws on the right-rear of the cooler for? Another Cap Catcher or an alternative location for it? (2) Was there any type of spigot handle or other mechanism on the front drain located under the cap catcher? Lastely, do you feel I am missing any parts I am unaware of?

Your assistance is much appreciated![/QUOTE]
