Age on bangle bracelet

Thin little bangle, was black before silver polish. No markings, either sterling or silverplated. I loved the etching, do you see a time period here? Thanks.

 

I think it is engraved rather than etched.
It is a sweetie, a timeless design, which makes it difficult to date without marks. Guesstimate late 19th, because it looks hand engraved (irregularities), but I could be wrong.

 

Could be anything from late 19th on up to late 20th. Generally I wear similar in stacks of six or even more. The size will give the age away as much as anything, as with necklaces the smaller it is the older it is generally speaking.

 

I didn't think of size....it is small, I can barely get it on and off.

 

Bingo. Probably an old one then.

 

I don't think size is always an indication. Bracelets can be anything from child's bracelets to bracelets worn over long gloves. (Or by tall Dutch women.)

 

I have a really big antique ring sitting here. Probably gold-filled but I've never bothered to check. It's sized to fit on the outside of a glove.
