Ambered clear glass bowl like oyster rim. 9" top diameter from tip to tip, 4" bottom diameter x 3" height from tip to ground. I would like to find out the piece, company name, pattern and era. Thank you for your assistance in this item. Rob

When you measure the top diameter, should I measure from the middle of the highest portion of the top of the curve that will give me a higher measure or in the middle of the curve portion that will give me smaller measure? When I measure height should I measure from the tip that is closer to the ground or in the middle of the curve that is higher from the ground? Thank you. Rob

 

Is this called a wavy or ruffled bowl or rose? Thank you. Rob

 

I think from looking at the shapes it is a bonbon don't think its a hat. Still looking. Rob

 

I think it is Northwood similar to the lines on the orange vase that I saw because the lines go all the way up and I think its in the shape for bonbons.

 

I usually measure the widest point to point for the diameter.

Fenton calls their shapes like this ruffled. So I'll go with ruffled instead of wavy.
A rose bowl is almost ball shaped with a small hole at the top.

 

I got back around to searching for this again. I could not find it. I finally
got in touch with replacements.com for assistance. Hope they can inform
me of the company and pattern or provide me with a lead. rknarr2

You may be going in the wrong direction by looking at carnival glass. I think this is a more recent iridescent glass bowl. Rather common, I think, but a quick check on ebay may turn up the maker.

 

I saw one of those on ebay in a pumpkin marigold with really good photos. You are likely correct but I can't see the "files" on this bowl.
