Can anyone tell me what I have, I don’t know much about this type of glass. It is really big and heavy, measures 13-1/2” across, it’s 1/2” thick and about 2” high. I don’t see a makers mark on it but maybe I haven’t looked close enough.

Beautiful! If you're on Facebook, I'd go to the American Brilliant Cut Glass group and ask.

That is one of the nicest ABCG pieces I have seen in ages!!!

I think maybe it is the same INH. Anund's may be a platter, and the one you found, a bowl.

Wow---I leave my computer and you guys did all the work !!!
Great ID's. I did check 2 books...so far...and the expanding star pattern is listed as maker unknown. It would not be unusual for more than one maker make a pattern..usually with slight variations.
It would not surprise me if it were Libbey..but can't tell without a siggie or book citation. I have a few more books to check.

During research..I found some bowls with this pattern..(of course now I can't "re-find" the sites)...and prices were MUCH MUCH lower. ABCG prices have been depressed for a while..I see that $1700 was in 2018...so still a high price for then !

Thanks Janette and INH for all your help, I really appreciate it. Wouldn’t have known where to even start without your help.
Looks like from a general search on liveauctioneers that the nicest pieces are still doing well but mediocre and lesser not so much.
