    Hi everyone,
At first I bought such a cup, and after a few months I found such a Bisto teapot
Please tell me why they are so strange and unusual? I tried to search on Google, and I thought, maybe it is a cup for men with a mustache, but then what is a teapot?

    Thanks!

It’s an invalid feeding cup. Someone held it to the sick persons mouth. The half cover stopped the gruel or soup spilling on them. That’s why there’s a caduceus mark on the base, medical.

at first I thought it was for children, but it was probably really for invalid feeding. And the teapot too?

Both of them, yes. The teapot-like spout is probably the more common on invalid cups (at least in my experience).

Bisto was a trade mark owner and used by Bishop & Stonier of Hanley, Staffordshire.

Oh no, just not an enema :nailbiting:
I go to Google to find vintage enemas :bookworm:

It's not actually a teapot, it's just a larger invalid cup, AKA pap boat.

Mustache cups don't have a spout:

Are you sure it is a moustache cup? I think it is more likely to be a shaving cup. The main cup for hot water and a place to park the brush, and the inner lip to hold the soap tablet Probably has drain holes in it..

I think a moustache cup on that last one. Shaving mugs were more involved:

I do consider what I pictured in my previous post to be a "mustache cup". It differs from the shaving mug below, which has the drain holes you mention. That said, I'm no expert on antique shaving paraphernalia. :)

This mustache cup and saucer set has an inner bit like the mug I posted. It would be woefully inadequate in holding a soap tablet. Note that in has a "hole" by the rim for the tea to reach the mouth, and has a cut out curve to accommodate the nose.
