I was considering that before, the shape of the top looks very Korean, but it lacks the usual Korean perfection. Just like the Japanese tansu lacked Japanese perfection. I think it is a fairly recent Chinese copy of a Korean medicine cabinet, I just saw that Chinese manufacturers are advertising a lot of these on Ali Baba. An attractive piece though.

Nah, that was nothing compared to the lady, beach something or other that had a pair of these 3 leg chairs that she was CERTAIN were period. I gently explained for 2 pages of posts that was not possible & finally gave up on the thread. Along came @scoutshouse who asked a couple VERY SHARP QUESTIONS and beach ran away, had the thread removed and has never been heard from again!
Sure, blame it on scouts. Her questions were fair though. The disappointment just got a bit too much for beach I think.
