Another Modernist Sculpture

I had to giggle when an unnamed member pointed out what could be the gender of the artist lol I have no doubt that some angry woman made this! It's horrific! Someone will buy it if you market it towards the obvious!

Perhaps only so much can be said about it. And now I'm off to the races!

 

Oh boy! if those are the female figure's "knees" what have I been doing wrong all these years????

@ulilwitch, I think it's one of those pieces of art that, the more we look, the more different ones of us see different things.... i.e., images, words, numbers, etc!!

 

a style that had many successors after Alberto Giacometti expressed what he saw in Italy and elsewhere after both wars - hungerridden people.
a sujet well-known since "the Burghers of Calais" by Rodin and others.

 

I think this is just a representation of a couple of breeders, the only hunger they feel is for copulation, very "sixties" IMO (not people in their 60's!!!)
