Featured Another mystery sprigged jug

    Found this in historic York also. A sprigged jug with bell flower and acanthus leaves with grape vines around the rim. It seems to be enamel overlayed onto ceramic. Bit of a hole in the enamel on the side.

    I found this similar one which is where I got my description from but again no pottery info.

    With the bellflowers (yours seems to have a different type of flower) you get Ridgway, but those have the mask head, don't have that copper look (gold stone?), and have a different handle.

    I have to say, I like OP's with the white much more than all that gold.

    Yes, I like the OPs a lot. I have an affinity for copper lustre. I have five copper lustre jugs and cream pitchers already, but there's room for more. Sort of. I have one new china cabinet that isn't full. ;)
