I have another Indian Head Bust. It is marked on the back with a copyright symbol then TCM and then I think 90 after that. Or maybe I am missing some numbers? I am just wondering if anyone know anything about this. Is it even considered a bust because I looked up TCM and that is Turner Classic Movies. So I am wondering was it a movie prop because I am not having any luck finding this exact statue/bust/prop.

It’s difficult (for me) to tell what material it’s made of?

It seems to be a metal of some sort maybe. It's fairly lightweight. Is there a lightweight plaster because the inside of it is white?

Why do you think it might have been a movie prop? I don't understand the thought that because you can't find another one online that it was a movie prop.

Yes it does appear to qualify to be called a bust, although it certainly is oddly shaped - no arms, only partial chest.

What do you mean "inside of it" ? Is there an opening on the bottom? Can you show a picture of it please?

I thought a movie prop because of TCM which is Turner Classic Movie company. Here is a picture of the bottom/inside of the piece.

If it was a "hobbyist" project, why would it have a copyright?

Chalkware/plaster covered with a 'bronzing' agent, perhaps paint.

    The copyright protects the design.

That's what I was thinking to some type of plaster but then it doesn't really sound like plaster. The bottom lip is thin. There are no "seams".

    I think there’s a faint 9 before the 90, maybe 1990?

copyright of the company making the unfinished item, then sold to people who paint/finish them to their liking.

My boyfriend was helping research and found that it's not Turner Classic Movies but Tesoro Ceramic Molds. They were a short lived company in Texas. They made ceramic slip molds and these busts. The 90 is part of the mold number.
