Another silver plate Id.

Trying to deal with a few boxes of silverplated pieces that I've had stored for years. Identifying most of it is pretty easy. This bowl and lid is "Henry Hodson Plante". Mark is a little too small to get a good photo. So, the last photo is a crude drawing of it. Ive seen a few different marks for this company. Can you date the piece with the varying marks this way? Obviously, "& Co" would be a later piece. Just trying to ballpark the age of it. Also interestingly, the handle is removable. What reason would there be for that?

 

If I had to guess, I'd say 1950s/60s wedding gift. Again, guess: the handle comes off so you can put a second vegetable in the lid and use it as a bowl. Probably also for cleaning.

 

Maybe the handle comes off so the lid can be turned upside down and used as a second serving dish.
