Another silver-plated sugar and creamer

This mark was easy - Forbes. I believe the pattern is 254, but when I did a search for that, I didn't see anything that looks like these pieces. I remember having them re-plated back in the 1970s and it cost about $150 then. These are difficult to photograph, being very reflective. I tried several backgrounds and camera settings and this was the best I could do.

 

Use gray, black or white so it does not reflect a color. Keeping the room behind you dark may also help or shoot near daylight. Incandescent light will yellow the silver and make it look gold or brass.

I think the shield design was meant to have a monogram engraved in it.
