Unfortunately there is no markings to my little duo which I would love to know more about so any info or opinion greatly received.... must admit what initially attracted me to them was the Art Deco shape, let me try and grab an image to uploade Thanks, Sue

Welcome, Deco Girl. I adore these, although think I would be too worried about lead in the pewter to do anything other than show them off. My first reaction was that knobs & handle insulators were surely something man made, but if pieces were made in China, maybe not. However, they are very good at making garden variety chalcedony look like jade, so caution needed here.

  5. Many thanks for the answers and welcome

To be honest the only way I identified them as from China is by trawling the web for images before finding an array of similar but not identical designs listed as from China with most of the handles and finals described as Jade as per links kindly provided. Bronwen if not Jade definitely not man made on close inspection....will try and get some close ups. They are both rather beaten up but are very heavy being just 3 and 5 inches high they have a real feel of quality with super deco detailing on thumb plates of handles. No intention of trying a brew in them btw lol

Shame worthpoint did give info on how much the set above went for ;)

  15. :greedy: Gosh thanks, not a bad little purchase at £50 then, not as many pieces of course but find that the two still display nicely together ;)
