Antique Coffee pot.Help with a mark-is this from France?

    Hmmm. That mark does not appear to be for solid silver of any fineness from any country I can think of. Even silver plate from England will generally have more than a single block for a mark.

    As I think you already know, it's tough to see what is inside that square. Any chance of a better focus?

    Marks b.n ,it is not silver,some part silver plated.Thank's

    It's not a tea pot either ..coffee pot maybe.

    With the 2 letters and "device" inside a square, good chance it is French silver plate.

    B N should be the maker's initials, but I have no idea who BN stands for.

    Here's my enlargement of it......B N with a tree in the middle.....it also looks like it says 1713 below the square too!!
