I just bought this couch on Nextdoor in Idaho. The people we bought it from said it had been in the family since at least the 1940s, and that it was brought West sometime around then. It's been reupholstered, and there are no identifying marks.

    Any idea about age/style/region/manufacture?

    Thanks for any help!

Hard saying, as these were made for a lot of years. Carving is not the best but better than some. Would think at least from the 50s or maybe as early as the 30s. If from the 30s or so, probably American. By the 50s, many were imported from Italy.

1940s traditional sofa with Art Deco massing and Victorian Revival details in the carving. It could have been made in dozens of different factories in the U.S., without a tag or stamp it will be impossible to tell.
