I'd be grateful if anyone were able to identify the maker of these 40cm chargers.

The design seems typical of old De Porceleyne Fles delftware, and probably dates from around the end of the 19th century.
The central backstamp appears to include the word 'Germany'(?), in which case they may perhaps be from V&B - but it's more likely a case of my dodgy eyesight.

Any suggestions will be most appreciated !

They both say Germany, which makes them not Delft. Check out Franz Anton Mehlem.
