without the eye its 2,2 cm long, medallion pendant, engraved . İnside some textile, looks afıxxed.
Can't find any marks.

Can any of you provide information on where and when it was made? What is the textile used for?
Thanks 20230211_142541_copy_1209x1209.jpg 20230211_142554_copy_1209x1209.jpg 20230211_142622_copy_1209x1209.jpg 20230211_142705-0_copy_432x960.jpg

Looks like there's a mark on the link? Maybe on the bale as well?

Unless it had some sentimental value, I'd guess the textile is just filler.

Didn't we have something a while back about framing ancient textiles....?

Locket looks Victorian and gold.

Or a Live Person sentimental object. Some people like fiber arts so it's possible that textile is the sentimental object on it's own.

Odds are this held a lock of someone's hair; the embroidered bit was added later. Maybe the hair was from an ex-girlfriend!

Note that the glass magnifies the image inside the medallion.

Can be seen if you put a small sheet of text in the medallion.

Well , let's try then , because I don't see how you can state that with any certainty, unless you can see it........which we can't cuz there's no text there !

Many glass lockets, can have a magnifying quality......but I see no evidence on any here.

Hello @Rec ......
does your glass magnify the fabric as you see it?

I do not argue or approve. This is just my opinion. Let's wait for more information from the Rec.

Good eyes @Mr Antiques. Viewed from above has no magnified effect, but open does. is this something special?
who would use something like that? 20230213_165913_copy_1209x1209.jpg

Someone putting a picture in the locket. Magnifying glasses don't work well when the object is right up against the glass. It takes a little distance. That's why it does nothing to the flowers.
