    Greetings All

I picked these two items up as a lot at auction.

I am pretty sure the bone is a Tibetan Kangling and it has leather / skin on the end of it.

The small Drum / Container looks like it might be African. The wood is carved with simple geometric patterns and the leather / hide is very old and dark. The central "strap" is Skin with Fur on it. The bottom is much dirtier than the top.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Best Regards
    Rob

Looks like a tourist drum, not something ever meant to be played as a drum.
The drumstick makes me gag to look at it!! :playful::playful:

that's no drumstick.....that's a horn for calling demons..!

that drum?? , may be a container...of sorts...as it looks like one end moves while the other stays in place..!
and to me.....it looks old and well used...;)

The demons in this case are personal demons, negative personality traits that stand in the way of spiritual development.;)
The Kangling is used mostly in the pre-Buddhist Bön religion, but also in a few Vajrayana Buddhist schools.

Your photo doesn't show, but I would say two lemurs should be able to keep you on the straight and narrow.:D
