Antique Porcelain (?) Egg Shaped Vase - need help figuring out what's what

    Dear all,
    I have this rather strange vase that I need your help identifying what is it exactly! I *think* it is porcelain and it looks beautiful in person, but it is completely unmarked. I searched online but cannot find anything similar. It feels 19th century-ish, but I obviously do not have a clue. Would greatly appreciate any help!

    The bottom looks like it may be glass rather than porcelain. Does the unpainted surface feel very smooth? It may be what is referred to as Satin Glass.

    Thanks so much! That's what I was suspecting too. It feels a bit too smooth for porcelain but the color got me confused. The bottom looks like it's hand blown, right?

    I would guess Pre-WWI late 1890s.
    German, Austrian
    The design was a transfer. See the dots. Some of the color may be hand tinted.

    Thanks for suggesting a concrete timeline and location! Yep, I saw that it was a transfer - pretty obvious with the dots.
