I found this at a local thrift store yesterday; I liked the look & the wear on the back rest is beautiful (to me!).
What is this type of chair called?
    How old is it?
Finally, is it for a child or adult - it measures 33"H x 26"W
A final thought - someone thought enough about this chair to put a thin felt pad strip on the bottom of each rocker to help protect it; they wouldn't do that unless it was old and/or valuable, right? (For figure for the $30 it cost me even if a child's rocking chair I should still be able to make some money with it?)
    Thank you!

It's a Windsor rocker, not very old. Seat height would determine if for a child, a normal adult seat would be 17 inches or so measured from the floor.
The felt strips are most likely to protect the wood floor finish of the previous owner.

    15" seat to ground - so a child's?

    Hi,
Or a nursing mother. The bottom of the legs look to be cut off for some reason.

Maybe it didn’t start out as a rocker?
