Late 19th century. Not American. It's quarter sawn oak, but the designs ... British? One of the UK contingent or @verybrad will be along sooner or later with the right answer. It's not quite Arts and Crafts/Secessionist/Jugendstil but headed that way.

I dunno about it but if it is yours, find a use for it yourself, I think it’ll be very hard to sell it at any price, at least in the US.

I am wondering if the top is not original to the bottom. Top looks circa 1920 traditional revival. Base looks more Spanish colonial. Missing mirrors on the top?

    Welcome to the forum, LoveBridge.
I am getting a north German or possibly Baltic States vibe. Which doesn't mean it is. Where did you get it?

Hi Any Jewelry, thank you for your response.
We bought it from an older lady who had it from her grandfather.

@verybrad Hi, thank you for your response.
The top looks original but I have no idea and I’m not sure if there was mirrors on the top.

I don't think it's English. I've a friend who owns a 17th C cabinet with similar features, and that came from Germany. I don't think yours is much older than the early 20th.

    Yep, she did.:D

So let me rephrase it, in which country did you buy the sideboard?:)
And do you know if the older lady or her grandfather have a link with northern Germany or the Baltic?

It's weird but many posters on here do not ID where they are or where the piece of furniture was obtained, it's a VITAL bit of information really when trying to identify origins of old furniture.

Sorry, I understood where did I get it from. We purchased this in England but the lady didn’t know much about it herself.
We want to restore it and change the colour as well but before we do that we wanted to try and find out if someone knew more about this kind.
Thank you for all your helpful information.

Alrighty then, it's a revival court cupboard made somewhere in Europe i am guessing.

@James Conrad Thank you. Do you think it could be valuable or shall we paint it and restore it?

Paint? I am not following you. This was never intended to be painted but if you would like it painted i see no reason not to.

    Court Cupboard = 16th & 17th century sideboard
Your cupboard is a reproduction so does not really matter value wise if you paint it probably, might be a problem if you try to sell it though.
Here is a period 1st quarter 17th century English court cupboard with a similar form

I wouldn't paint that; the wood's too nice and you would lose some of the detail in the carving. There may have been mirrors in it originally and may not.
