Antique Stoneware Bowl

    I see red on the inside and some other areas but don't know if that is the natural color of the clay.
    I will check the NC possibility.
    I am still curious how the bowl from the site was attributed to Landenberg. I wonder if pottery that melted irregular in the kiln due to the poor quality of the clay was something common only for Wisconsin pieces or can be seen in other regions. They also say that their bowl has lead glaze. I can't really tell if the glaze is the same on mine.

    Sorry, should be KNOWN for their pottery, not none.

    The older I get the more I tend to spell phonetically or close to. And homonyms, which I never had a problem with are becoming very problematic.
    Anyone else?
