    Someone from Australia asked for a shipping price recently. I told her it was expensive and named the price. Seemed preposterously high to me. She said it wasn't too bad and the package would probably cost more to ship from one side of Australia to the other. (She didn't bid, though.) I know the Canadian Post Office is unforgiving with internal shipping. I guess Australia is the same.

    Hi,
    Some pieces of depression glass went to Australia. Shipping was 10x the selling price. Had a set of three Pyrex bowls for 9 dollars, went to Japan with 160 dollars for overnight shipping. The lady wanted them for a party she was having.
