Please help to identify what this is and how old. Light bulb has a cross inside.

    Hi, John, and welcome!

I'm afraid I can't help with your item, but I've rotated your photo & posted it here, so others can see it better:

Looks too small to be a vanity mirror,Im wondering if its a home altar? Way back when they made light bulbs with all kinds of designs using the filaments,Im guessing the whole thing is 1950s or so.

    What religion, johnny?

Those metal pieces on the front corners would definitely be in the way if the user was seated (as in the usual vanity table.) Perhaps used as a bar? Too bad the glass on the right was broken.

I see. But wouldn't there be more obvious symbols on the metal work and the glass? Not being of that faith, I am only thinking on the ones I've seen in pictures and movies.

I'm thinking what ever was on the right behind the bulb held an inscription that could clear this up..

In spite of the Worthpoint example, I disagree. That one has church-window-shaped mirrors. Growing up French Canadian, I've seen a lot of home altars. Those etched flowers lead me towards a small vanity mirror. It would fit on one of those little kidney shaped vanity tables with the skirt.
