Antiques Professional Associations

    Does anyone know if there is a professional antique dealers/restorers association for Alabama? Is there one for the south/southeast part of the country?

    If it's like most professional antique appraisers associations, you basically attend a workshop for a week somewhere like Vegas, pay them the grand or so fee and Hey Presto!

    You are now a professional accredited appraiser and have a certificate saying so.

    Yes, I had a feeling the whole situation was pretty lax, but are there any groups specifically for Alabama antique/vintage dealers?
