    There's a formula in depicting the annunciation and other religious subjects because much of the imagery is symbolic.

    Yes there will be copies it is a student work and done under someone @i need help @Debora
    @Bronwen it will have flaws being a student

    French School means French painting style, not an actual school.

    Yes. And it's a term used when the the specific artist can't be identified e.g. 19th century French School. Meaning... I know it's old-ish and in the style of some paintings I've seen by French painters.

    As late as the 1960s, painters could set up easels and copy paintings in major museums. Yours could well have been created in that manner.
