Any help with wood carving

Can anyone help with information on this carving. Thanks as always for the help

 

It is in the style of Dogon carvings from Mali:

But the material of yours looks odd. Are you sure it is wood? It almost looks like a cast material (particularly from the bottom). At any rate, yours is smaller than the usual wood carvings. It may be a miniature souvenir version.

What does the larger one look like?

Well, that sounds a bit more traditional. It is the white paint and "powder" that bothers me on the small one. Can you post pictures?
