Very strange idea for a painting. A first I thought it was a moon sitting on some kind of platform, but now I'm thinking maybe the moon is in space and it's some kind of astronomical line-up.

Has anyone heard of the painter, or can make it out. It looks like Vogel or Voyel, but I cannot find anything about an artist with that name. spaceart1.jpg spacesig2.jpg

Sorry I just read "How to Get Best Response." It's 34" x 24" I must have gotten it in a thrift shop, perhaps 20 years ago. I am painting the outside of my house and a bit tired and am pretty sure I remember there was nothing identifying it on the back. There are also a lot of books and objects in front of it now so it would be best to save my energy for the house painting. To be continued....I'll take a photo of the back in time.

Thanks. I wonder if its Jim Vogel. He has some of those Daliesque/De Chirico landscapes. I don't see his signature yet.
