Hi Desperate,

I had over 1000 pieces in my collection until 1986 when I sold 99% of it. I had the choice of selling the Vaseline Glass or the Fiesta (1400) pieces. I was moving from an eight room floor through in a Brooklyn brownstone to a 390 sq ft co-op. Luckily the unit had a 1000 sq ft storage unit in the basement. All my 1950s steel out door pieces went into the garden in the back of the building. A woman across the hall was moving out of state for two years and did not want to rent her unit. I rented it for storage. It was funny since the moving company I hired two years later to move me to NJ came and saw the co-op and named me a price. I started to laugh and said it would be at least 4 times as much. When the movers came (four movers and a driver) it took 6 hours to load the truck. They delivered it the next morning. I had bought a 3 storey farm house with a garage with a loft. It took them all day. They filled the house, the basement and attic, the garage and loft. As well as the yard. The owner of the company came to the house to see what was taking so long. She could not believe all of that stuff came out of a 350 sq ft condo.

greg
