Anyone familiar with Brookstone vintage tools...?

I found some listings on ebay for old map measuring tools and also some gunsmith or jewelers' small vises but can't find anything as far as history for items marked Brookstone Germany. I have a small, very fine hacksaw with this stamp in the top. Wood handle, painted black.

Curious as to whether anyone might have background info on the company and/or the time period this may date from.

Interesting, and would make sense. The saw has a very thin, fine blade and would likely fit in with a luthier's tools like that poster was talking about. So likely not as old as I had originally guessed. Thanks!

Brookstone would have imported them from a German manufacturer, and they are still available through other suppliers.
