Approx 4" tall very neat little clay container. I said pot but I guess it's more of a pitcher*. I am wondering where it might be from and when it could have been made PXL_20230102_220713811.jpg PXL_20230102_220710622.MP.jpg PXL_20230102_220717423.jpg PXL_20230102_220706768.jpg

I don't know about age -- that may be difficult to ascertain, but I think the decoration is to simulate marbling like marbled paper. Where? America comes to mind if the clay is reddish. It's a utilitarian piece (small jug, creamer) and I'm guessing there are no marks on the bottom.

It's always good to provide a photo of the bottom even if unmarked. Collectors can often tell a lot from the base.

I'm not sure but try looking at French Jaspe pottery.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Nice, rustic look and I like the glaze design.

Another thing I hadn't heard of before, but a likely contender. And I tend to think latter half of 19th c datewise, but a guess on my part. Learning lots new today!
