I only found one piece by him and couldn&#039;t find any information. He painted during the 19th century so that checks out, but his painting style on the painting I found isn&#039;t exactly like mine. He also signed his other painting as G H Baumann and dated beneath it, but mine isn&#039;t signed with the &quot;G H&quot; before Baumann, but mine is also dated beneath it (from what I believe I can make out) so that checks out. His other painting is signed on the lower left with name and date, and on the lower right side is the name of the painting. Mine only has the signature on the bottom left. Judging by the way he writes his name, I&#039;m fairly confident its him. My painting is an oil on canvas and the other painting I found is a watercolor, so I&#039;m not sure how common it was for artists to switch material like that. That painting sold somewhere in the $40 range on a strange low-traffic auction site. Ill add photos of the painting I found from him and if you&#039;d like you can compare the two and see if you note any similarities in painting style. I will also put the two signatues together to see if anyone feels there is similarity to that as well.
