    The fractures argue against. Jade is prized because it doesn't readily crack. Also can't see using a good piece of jade for such a rudimentary carving. This is dyed something.

    @Bronwen Scratches glass and I dug in with a lot of force and nothing was done but metal from blade rubbing off on object

    i've got two blocks of BC jade here.....lighter and darker with all those black inclusions.......
    not every piece of jade is a winner..
