Bought this at an estate auction. Previous owner was very affluent and well off.

not a coffee table is it? If I know what’s it is considered maybe I can find out about it. Thanks in advance!

What's the height of the space between shelves?
Will a paper back book fit?

Not leather but appears to have like a gold inlay

In my opinion too big for an end table and kind of a weird height.

Would work as a gaming/card table.

Seems short for a game table, though the form is correct. Maybe missing casters?

Impossible to tell without a photo of the underside of the feet.
