    Oh yeh I’m sorry. I should have posted about that. Member Architrve posted a Georgetown link that mentioned it was something to that affect. SAE was very proud of his technique and skills. He found it abhorrent that others would touch up their work by hand so he made a point to mention that his were not touched up.

    Jivvy may well be correct. (Can't read it myself.) It looks like the same inscription was written under others of his prints, maybe more legibly on some.

    I suppose the swan should be sort-of his reaction to the image, but that's conjecture. Seems to me there's almost a swan in her hair.

    To my eye, this rendering shows an Arthur Rackham influence.

    Not at all. I wasn't convinced one way or the other, I just noticed the change in eye color and that made me go looking.
