These friends helped pick up an iron 4-pounder ship's cannon ca. 1750. A friend and neighbor had a govt career which put him in a rural area of the Philippines for many years. He got this cannon there, but I don't yet have any more details. Gun is 49" long, has 3.3" bore, my weight estimate is about 600 lbs. Trunnions may have some faint marks we'll try to read. Owner was a superb woodworker and built the white oak carriage himself after getting plans from a friend who worked for the Navy.

I thought you had gotyour hands one one of those forklifts the US used in Afghanistan with the armoured sides and the rear gunner turret on the back, driven off the forkifts hydraulics.

Dangerous work moving supplies over there.
