Picked this up and am wondering if it is indeed an Art deco bracelet.it seems to have a bit of wear and measures just over 3 inches in diameter and the bracelet itself JPEG_20240130_161323_resize_22.jpg JPEG_20240130_161353_resize_35.jpg JPEG_20240130_161429_resize_94.jpg JPEG_20240130_161448_resize_49.jpg JPEG_20240130_161511_resize_91.jpg JPEG_20240130_161539_resize_37.jpg JPEG_20240130_161553_resize_0.jpg is 1 and half inches approx wide.

I love the shape and coloures.

    Thanks for any opinions.

I think it is 60s or 70s lucite and wood and I love it.
I am not an expert on costume jewellery though, so let's wait for the others.

That’s spot on, I’d say. Sixties into seventies, and a really nice piece too. There was a thing for mixing wood and plastic, and the colours are spot on. Deco plastics are paler and muted usually.

I think I'm going to be the outlier here. I think it's fairly modern as in maybe the last few years. There are some newer resin and wood bangles being currently produced that have a bit of a vintage look. I just haven't run into a vintage piece like this before with the wood/plastic combo, unless other countries were producing similar. Just a feeling based on some new bracelets out there. It does have a very cool look!

The wood looks more Indian than American. I don't think it's particularly old either. I've had a wood/bakelite combo bracelet, so they existed, but this ain't that. It looks 1990s or later to me.

I saw it and thought it looked brand new. Then I read posts from some of the folks in the know and figured I was just wrong. Scrolling down I am glad to find I wasn’t the only one with that thought at least. Granted I had never seen a true period MCM example either.

The wood looks like black walnut to me.

Newer rather than older to my eye too.
