This piece has me flummoxed. I've not seen another example, and I don't recognise the stencilled makers mark either. It was certainly crafted using quality crystal, but by who? It stands 11" high including its base.

Just to add: The sculpture is moulded glass, and isn't mouth-blown.

The mark looks like three conjoined Cs. What material is the base?

Apparently they make excellent pets, although I am not in favour of having pets that are so close to their wild origins. They are extremey cute though.

The Florida Everglades in the US is a classic example of why this is a bad idea. The whole ecosystem has been turned on its ear because irresponsible people released their pet Burmese Pythons there because they didn't realize how large they would become.

It's estimated that there are over 100,000 snakes there, currently. The indigenous wildlife is in grave peril. Very sad.

    I've digressed...Carry on!

Indeed. ANY introduction of wrong species in a wrong place has dire consequences.

No shop anymore... I now only occasionally sell privately or via eBay. My previous shop on Ruby Lane, was called "Classy Glass Antiques & Collectables"

I know, and it bothers me when I cannot locate other examples of the same. It doesn't make any sense to produce very expensive moulds only to make one piece of glass! Not unless you're producing Pate de Verre items such as Daum, produce.
